We’re going up into New Mexico to visit White Sands National Park. But before doing that, we visited a local eating spot called Laurita’s Kitchen. I said local because we weren’t sure how many people in this packed little restaurant could speak english. The folks working the place didn’t seem to speak english and we couldn’t speak spanish, so we just do the pointing and nodding to order our food. These were some of the best Mexican dishes we’ve ever had.
Once in New Mexico, we had to drive through a checkpoint which seemed to be run by CBP. Considering the area, I guess it wasn’t too surprising.

Driving into White Sands, we already saw a preview of what was in store for us. Once we went deeper, it was only then we truly experienced how awesome this National Park is.
