Bluff Fort

Posted on December 9, 2024February 21, 2025

As we continued our journey south from Moab toward Arizona, we made a quick stop in Blanding, UT, to supercharge. While at the visitor center, a friendly staff member suggested we take a slight detour to Bluff to check out its historic fort site. Taking her advice turned out to be a great decision! Bluff Fort offered a fascinating glimpse into the early pioneer history of the area, with well-preserved cabins and exhibits that told the story of the settlers who braved the harsh desert landscape. The setting, surrounded by stunning red rock formations, made the experience even more memorable. It was an unexpected but rewarding stop on our road trip south.
