The Gateway Arch

Posted on December 19, 2024February 21, 2025

From Fort Worth, we embarked on a long 10-hour drive northeast to our next destination—the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri.

This iconic monument is something you truly have to see in person to fully appreciate its beauty and sheer scale. Standing at 630 feet, the Arch is an architectural marvel that symbolizes the gateway to the West. Seeing it shine against the sky was breathtaking, but the real highlight was taking the tram ride to the top.

Once we reached the observation deck, we were treated to panoramic views of St. Louis, the Mississippi River, and even Illinois in the distance. The experience of being inside this massive structure, looking down at the city from so high up, was both thrilling and surreal.

Visiting the Gateway Arch was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend adding it to any road trip itinerary!
