Today marked the beginning of our journey south as we left Jackson and started making our way toward Arizona. In the morning, we stopped by the National Museum of Wildlife Art—though we only explored the outside, the sculptures and stunning backdrop made it a worthwhile visit. Next, we headed to Teton Village before taking on the scenic but challenging drive through Teton Pass, where we encountered a fierce snowstorm that tested our Model Y. After making it safely through the mountains, we continued south. Once we reached the northern outskirts of Salt Lake City, we made an essential stop—our first In-N-Out of the road trip, a well-earned treat after a long day on the road.
We drove through the night to Utah, arriving in Moab just in time for breakfast. With the drive going smoother than expected, we decided to take advantage of the extra time and revisit Arches National Park to see how the landscape transformed under a blanket of snow. The contrast of the red rock formations against the fresh white snow was absolutely breathtaking, giving the park a whole new level of beauty. This time, we also made a proper stop at Balanced Rock, a sight we had only driven past on our last trip. Seeing it up close, with its massive boulder precariously perched atop a slender rock column, was even more impressive in person.
