From Flagstaff, we made our way down to Sedona, and the entire drive was absolutely breathtaking. As we descended through the winding roads of Oak Creek Canyon, we were treated to stunning views of towering red rock formations, lush forests, and dramatic cliffs. The transition from Flagstaff’s pine-covered mountains to Sedona’s vibrant desert landscape was nothing short of spectacular.
Once in Sedona, we were captivated by its natural beauty—towering red rocks, unique rock formations, and a peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere. While exploring, we had the chance to visit the famous Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, a charming collection of Spanish-style courtyards, artisan shops, and galleries. Wandering through its cobblestone pathways and admiring the intricate architecture made for a memorable stop, adding to the magic of our Sedona experience.
Next, we visited the Chapel of the Holy Cross, an architectural marvel built directly into Sedona’s iconic red rock formations. Perched high above the desert landscape, the chapel offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding cliffs and valleys. The combination of its striking modern design and natural setting creates a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere. Inside, the simple yet elegant interior, illuminated by the towering cross-shaped window, added to the sense of serenity and spirituality. It was truly a unique and unforgettable stop in Sedona.
From Sedona, we made a stop at an RV show to explore the possibilities for future adventures. It was exciting to see the different models and features available, giving us plenty of ideas for potential road trips down the line.
Afterward, we continued into Phoenix to meet up with our friends. Though our time together was short, it was wonderful to catch up and share stories from our travels. We wished we had more time to spend with them, but it was still a meaningful visit. Hopefully, our paths will cross again soon, and we look forward to the next opportunity to reconnect!
